The work
The final coat of paint is the finishing touch.
Most of the time on a job is the work before that coat: scraping, sanding, patching, and priming, done with care so the color you chose is the one you pictured. Josh Ritter started the company in 2000 and still walks every house. Homes in Hyde Park, Oakley, Mariemont, Madeira, Indian Hill, and the rest of Greater Cincinnati.

Interior
Walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and stairs. Clean edges, even sheen, and rooms you can live in while we work.
Exterior
Siding, soffits, shutters, porches, and front doors. Weather is the real client — we schedule around it.
Cabinetry
Kitchen and bath cabinets refinished in place. A new color without a full remodel, and hardware that still lines up.
Prep & repair
Scraping, sanding, caulking, priming, and drywall patches. The careful hours before the finishing coat.
Light commercial
Offices, shops, and small buildings. After-hours when you need it, with a written schedule you can post.
Color on site
We look at the light in the actual room, not a chip under a store lamp. Samples on the wall before we order.

Four steps. No surprises on the invoice.
Most exteriors in this climate fail at the prep, not the paint. We write the scope before we start, and we walk it with you when we’re finished.

Walk the house
We look at substrate, sun, and how you use the rooms. You get a written scope, not a number on a napkin.
- 02
Protect, Prep and Replace
Floors covered, hardware bagged, failed wood replaced to match, edges taped. Then scrape, fill and prime.
- 03
Paint
Two coats where the spec calls for it. Cut lines by hand on trim. We leave the job clean at the end of each day.

Walk it with you
We punch the list together, in daylight. Touch-ups happen before we pack the van — not three weeks later.

Generations of Experience.
Josh Ritter grew up in his father’s painting business and learned the trade on the job, long before he founded The Ritter Painting Company in 2000. We are not a franchise and we do not run a revolving door of subcontractors through your house. The people who estimate the work are the people who paint it.
Floors are covered. Hardware is bagged. We work around school runs and naptimes when we can, and we leave the job clean at the end of each day. BBB A+ accredited. Licensed and insured.
